Oft, It Seems
Sometimes inspiration comes
and oft it doesn't
Sometimes the words flow freely
and oft they are clogged, bottled up
Sometimes there are many thoughts
and oft very few surface to be seen
Sometimes words of faith and inspiration
and oft jumbled feelings, thoughts curtailed
Sometimes heaviness and sadness prevails
and oft they linger past their time
Sometimes joy and gladness flows
oft they water dry and desert land
Sometimes faith rises as a fount of life
oft causing us to soar as eagles do
Sometimes life seems clouded, no way seen
and oft we wonder what has happened to the dream
Sometimes we feel a part of all that lives
and oft this buoys us above the storm
Sometimes the sun shines brightly
oft warming every corner dark and drear
Always, He is there if faith reaches up
to touch the face of Him who holds it all, in His hand
